neighbor

Neighbor is an installation by 019 from Ghent. It's a platform for art that must fit in a very specific format. Eight LED tube segment displays. 019 was looking for a way to control these in a more elegant manner than the orighinal brute force implementation. I developed a lightweight format that can steer the existing DMX controllers behind this installation. Everything runs of a RPi3 and can even be live controlled using a simple OSC interface. A web based interface provides content developers with a simulated environment for creating content in the exact same format the playout controller is using.

Looking forwward to seeing what will come up on the platform in the future. Earlier on, I already started development of "quantm states" looking into what I would do with such a display. Who knows what state of entanglement this project leads to...
